Hello dead group--

Anyone have any insight into this? Looks like it's out in the UK but not yet in the States.

Anyone have it? Any good?

madzub10:08pm: Hey there fellow Hope lovers. this community is certainly dead, I guess since we're all so mellowed out from Hope's music. Or maybe since there's been nothing new from her in awhile.

I'm here to ask if someone would be so kind as to post online somewhere the song Bavarian Fruit Bread, from the album of the same name. This is the one with the lyric "I'm gonna spend all my money making you cry." Or, if not that, then if someone could post the chords to the song, then at least I could play it to myself on my geetar (I can't find the chords anywhere on the net). I used to own the album, but I gave it away along with all my other favourite cd's a coupla years ago, thinking I was improving my life by getting rid of material possessions. damn, that was the stupidest thing I've ever done. I've got several of the other songs that i burnt onto a cdr years ago before i bought the cd, but I don't have this one, which might be my favourite song off the album. I would buy the album, but no stores have it, iTunes Canada doesn't have it, and on Amazon it costs 24$ plus shipping.

Please, can someone post it somewhere for me to download, or direct to such a place, or resurrect the old napster where you could find anything?

and by the way, does anyone know what's up with Hope these days? any plans? I heard like a year ago that her and Dave were gonna do a new Mazzy album, but i guess that never happened.......

ecstatic_mystic12:06am: Hello, all! I just joined here but this community seems a bit dead?

Hope has such an angelic voice. I love these lyrics from Blue Flower:

Walkin' through the city
Your boots are high-heeled and are shinin' bright
The sun was sparklin' on the shaft of your knife
Blue flower in the morning rain,
Dying in my hand
Was it all in vain?

get_through_it6:15pm: I'm new here...
But I've been drowning in Mazzy Star all day....and am rather melancholy...but this music is so perfect today, and soothing. Her voice is so beautiful, and the instrumentation so dreamy

I'm glad this community is here. I like lots of different music, but today, Mazzy Star is my fave.

Guitar purists, take note. Obvious comparisons are moody barometer bands like Slowdive and Cocteau Twins. The songs lapse into one another sleepily and seamlessly, making the album feel more like one giant odyssey of a song instead of nine distinct tracks. - Adam McKibbin

phonebookauthor11:05pm: help me pleeeeease!
My friend has a song on a mix cd with Jarvis Cocker (of Pulp) and Mazzy Star. I know it's not something they played together, it was just two songs that someone somewhere pasted together. Jarvis's part was something I didn't recognize, but mixed into it was "Fade Into You." Does anybody know if there is a title or artist to this song? I have searched for it everywhere and I cannot find it. Any help would get you a special prize from me :)

Thank you!
